Vacations in Corsica
Still happy about the encounter of young naturists held in Austria in 2002, I was invited by the youth of the German and Austrian FKK to participate in their summer vacations in Corsica in the Bagheeracampsites. Upon arrival I realized I could not have hoped For anything better.
I Found a group of young people who were well assorted and well-organized.
The group was made up of 26 young people and 2 leaders; our spot was organized into three large tents hosting 10 persons each where the guys and gals, without any expectations besides their own sleeping bags slept.
The tent served as a galley and kitchen, having two long tables covered by an awning that allows us to gather For dinner in a convivial atmosphere, chat and exchange opinions on the day spent together.
The morning on the beach was spent pleasantly sunbathing, bathing in the clear water of Corsica and savouring cantaloupe and watermelon For refreshment in the middle of the day when the temperature peaked.
The afternoon, when the sun started to take pity on our pale and reddened bodies, we can organized volleyball and petanque tournaments.
The Jact that we were a large and compact group did not prevent us From involving new people we met on the beach or in the campsite into our games. Our first sightseeing visit was to the city of Bonifiacio, located on the southern coast of Corsica, perched atop white clifs 60 meters high overlooking the strait (the Bonifacio Strait).
The most interesting part of the town is the citadel, the historical district surrounded by bastions and abounding in old buildings that date back as Jar as the 13th century.
At the port you can embark on a short tour of the cliffs and grottoes underneath where you can admire a view of the marine life. The other city we visited was Porto Vecchio, certainly not comparable to Bonifìacio but nonetheless worth seeing. The most Jun excursions were the ones immersed in the nature of Corsica. Thanks to the abundance of water in the inland, you can admire the landscape coloured with green woods and blue streams.
Our first destination was the lakes of Melo (1711 m) and Capitello (1930 m), splendid lakes surrounded by the mountains.
What was supposed to be a hike ending with a swim, turned out to be a shower; along the road we were surprised by a violent downpour which forced us to return to the campground. However, we succeeded in admiring the spectacle of cascades that formed on the rocky walls parched by the sun a few minutes earlier.
A few days later we visited the naturist campsite -u Furu-, located in the middle of the mountains and famous for the stream that runs alongside it.
A great attraction to the campsite, the stream offers slides and launching pads For the wilder naturists, relaxing pools or rocks where you can doze off in the complete quiet of a totally natural environmento U Furu is a splendid campsite and I recommend that everyone spend a Few days there.
Lastly we went to the des Huglais cascades, a Jreezing torrent with wateifalls that are several meters high where you can alternate a stroll in the middle of the woods with a dive into the water. After dinner we gathered around the bonfire on the beach to end our day.
The vacation closed with our commitment to see each other the next year in Holland.
